Happy July, everyone! I cannot believe it's already July, and it is HOT where I'm at. We are just a few days before Independence Day in the States, and there are quite a few stores with July 4th sales and promos online, including one of my favorites - Target!!!

Have you ever purchased a couch or a dining set and just couldn't wait to set out the furniture to see how it looks? And then have you ever set that furniture out and think to yourself that something wasn't quite right? I have...I've ordered a couch and coffee table for my apartment in college. I was poor, so it definitely was not a super nice couch or anything...but it was my first "real" furniture purchase, so I couldn't wait to see how it would look! When I placed the couch and table on the boring beige apartment carpet in the "living room", it looked.. BLAH. It didn't look right, something was missing...so I set out to look for an area rug. I ended up buying a black and white rug with a wavy pattern, brought it back to my apartment, placed it under the coffee table, stepped back...and WOW, the room immediately looked complete with a contemporary touch.
A rug can cover quite a large surface area of a room, so a change in your rug can transform the look, style and feel of your room. Adding an area rug, whether it's neutral-colored or bold and bright to a living, dining, or even outdoor space can bring the room to life and warm up the space. If you are looking for a quick, easy, and affordable way to change a room without having to replace pieces of furniture, just change the rug! There is a variety of rug styles to choose from, and they are rollable for easy transport and don't require a team of people to replace! Don't underestimate the impact of a rug!

Okay I saw this rug online and was immediately attracted to the colorblock detail of this rug! I love the pops of turquoise blue and mustard yellow in this grayscale rug! The different shapes, asymmetrical lines of the geometric design adds a lot of interest and character to the rug!
For a lighter and neutral colored rug, I am totally loving this art deco design shag rug! The different textures and varying shades of cream to greige bring out the beauty of this Moroccan design!
This turquoise tapestry rug is just stunning! You can't go wrong with blue/white color combos because it is classic. I think this rug would pair well with many styles of furniture, whether it's in the living room, dining room, nursery, or play room!

This rug has a clean and classy look to me with its wavy details, and it also comes in rectangular rugs in case you like the design but not the shape. Just because this rug is round, doesn't mean you have to pair it with a round table or curved couch. Don't be afraid to experiment!
